NEET PG 2023 Exam: Everything You Need to Know from Paper Pattern to Answer Key
The National Board Examination (NBE) conducted the NEET PG 2023 exam on March 5th, 2023, from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. The exam was conducted online and consisted of 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The Exam was Moderately Difficult
The NEET PG 2023 exam was of moderate difficulty level and had a mixed bag of MCQs. The questions aimed to test the integrated knowledge of basics with well-oriented clinical knowledge. As per the experts of the NEET Test Series in Gorakhpur, most of the questions were lengthy with big clinical scenarios, but candidates were advised to look for key hints in the question to clinch the answer. For example, a long MCQ on Gaucher's disease was asked, with multiple images given and terminology like oil immersion field used, but the only hint required to answer the question was the characteristic image of a crumpled tissue paper appearance.
The NEET PG 2023 exam had many direct repeats, and the focus was on high-yield topics that have been repeatedly asked in previous year exams, such as Vitamins, Inborn errors of metabolism, and Wernicke's encephalopathy, even under the effect of alcohol. The MCQs in the NEET PG 2023 exam consisted of 70% Clinical Scenario Based questions, 25% Image-Based questions, and 10% One Liner Questions. The exam also had 15% Direct Repeats and 70% Repeated Topics.
